audacity auf Eee-netbook von asus

Subject: audacity auf Eee-netbook von asus
Schon das Eingangssignal vom USB-Plattenspieler ist unsauber. Vorher hatte ich audacity auf einem Desktop installiert und es funktionierte mit der gleichen Hardware einwandfrei (Das Motherboard ist vor kurzem durch einen Kurzschluss abgeraucht). Das Signal hört sich an wie nicht entstörte Hardware oder defektes Kabel. Wer kann mir helfen?
